ie i came to the conclusion that corporations are practically non existent in the NEC, and that when they’re there they have an extremely limited amount of power and influence

the Prometheus Society by and large 1) creates and exports a vast majority of the city’s resources and 2) are the only group of people on earth who can maintain the city’s infrastructure. by around 500 years after their establishment, a lot of things associated with that stuff has most definitely changed, most likely by the way of lost technology or the Society can only now maintain certain important functions…hate to cite warhammer but itd most def be a techpriest type of situation. and maybe in lieu of losing a lot of knowledge, there are other factions on earth trying to exploit or undermine them? im currently unsure which is why im in the mines again…

also having to read up and try to understand the sheer bureaucracy/complexity of the CCP and Cuba’s own politburo situation 😭 have also realized that the NEC at its BASE core would very much be an authoritarian government by way of no national elections, no political opposition allowed, religion is heavily monitored, heavy censorship, power monopoly etc. otherwise education, healthcare, housing, job security and the like are very ample/free*
