"Castello Cavalcanti" a movie short by Wes Anderson.

​Prada took to everyone’s favorite photocentric social media platform yesterday with a simple typographical image that read “Prada Racing.” With it, the fashion house wrote that they have “been defining and designing luxury since 1913. Iconoclastic and experimental, the #PradaClassicProject continues to redefine those boundaries, reaching into the adjacent fields of art architecture and film.” Later that day it was revealed that the latest manifestation of said luxury would come in the form of a imaginative short film written and directed by none other than Wes Anderson. 

The filmic addition, Castello Cavalcanti, to Anderson’s illustrious and endeared career, which was released today, is said to be an “extension of the cinematic scope of the Prada universe.” It’s adheres Prada’s illustrious and well-defined brand while embracing Anderson’s signature aesthetic.

The eight-minute film stars Jason Schwartzman, one of Anderson’s many recurring playmakers, as a troubled racecar driver who crashes into a town only to discover that it is the very town that houses his ancestry. It is still unclear where Prada plans to take the #PradaClassicProject, but with this cinematic hors d’oeuvre served by Wes Anderson it will surely be a ride worth taking.
