The city of Zadar is the oldest continuously-inhabited Croatian🇭🇷 city. It is situated on the Adriatic Sea🌊, at the northwestern part of Ravni Kotari region. Zadar serves as the seat of Zadar County and of the wider northern Dalmatian region. Most interesting is that its Old Town is situated on a Peninsula🗾 that's attached to the mainland. I tried to shoot it from above with my Mavic Mini drone, which was quite an adventurous endeavour due to the strong sea winds. Also, when the winds are lowest in the mornings and you want to shoot from the tip of the Peninsula🗾 from NW to SE, you're shooting against the sun, which is generally a bad idea. So the first picture is from this morning from SE to NW shooting with the sun, which would have been easy enough, if it wasn't for all the signal interference due to WiFi and steel structures of the city. The second picture is shot like I wanted it originally, this evening - unfortunately with strong winds of 28 km/s, which made it difficult to get as high as I wanted. At 145 meters of heights and 185 meters distance I had one signal loss🌠 after the other and continuous strong wind warnings, resulting in near heart attacks👀 for the good of 15 minutes. A bigger & heavier drone would probably have made things easier, but you have to work with what you've got. Still, I'm happy with the outcome, the level of detail and the colors... You can see the Sunset spot and the stairs in the right corner are the Sea Organ...
