He was no stranger to being approached by women of various intent, more to gain the favor of the prince than himself, though he wasn’t oblivious to his own social status that might mark him a target among some, as well. It’s a surprise, however, when a woman e can’t claim to know runs up and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. 

It’s just his cheek, of course, so he has no interest in giving her grief for what some would see as simple Holiday tradition, given the nearby mistletoe that he’d been woefully unaware of when he picked this spot to stand in. 

Dizzy’s a bit of an odd one—not to say that that’s bad necessarily. No, she’s actually odd in a way best described as adorable. Yeah, she’s a little too innocent and it really kicks his natural instincts to protect her into gear, but that’s not what’s endearing about her. 

No, it’s how bold she is without ever realizing as much. Never once has her heard her describe herself as such, but it’s the best word to illustrate what most people wouldn’t be able to do: Ask Gladiolus over, lure him into the path of a mistletoe, then give him a quick peck on the cheek that suggests it’s anything but the mistletoe’s fault. 

Gladio knows an excuse when he sees one.
