There was a really cool sundog effein the sky yesterday morning. It kept changing as the clouds moved, getting longer and shorter and brighter. At one point there was one on either side. But my phone wasn’t quite up to the task. Here’s one I got where you can see it pretty clearly but I wish’s I could show you how it kept changing from there

Sundogs usually sit about 22 degrees to the left and right of the Sun, which is why they often appear in a matching pair. They are most often seen when the Sun is low and cirrus clouds contain flat hexagonal ice crystals.
