All these notes are from beginning of January

First of all, I liked it and I’m thrilled for the next one. Wouldn’t say that it’s my new favourite thing, but it was still pretty good

Anyway live Fennel reaction:

Mixed feelings about the government and Sunder PD

Wish we would have seen another Noxum?

Why did they make them seem like such a big threat if the only ones we saw was the big one Leopold had to fight (which they were obviously keeping there to test people who want to prove themselves as channellers. So hm 🤨) and the little one the pest control people caught. Basically what if Noxum aren’t that evil. Like maybe Leopold should go to the ninth realm or whatever it’s called and pet them. Give them little treats. Also I hope we see the ninth realm in the future :3

Not related to Noxum. But why are people eating magic. Like I know why, but having read the MPHFPC series eating magic (in that case SOULS) is considered taking drugs and a form of cannibalism 😭😭 so something about that makes me suspicious idk

Also Leopold getting straight up banished?? And then two Sunder cops tried to kill him and Isabel?? I know corrupt cops exist (which just supports my theory about the government being maybe not so great) but geeez. But then Executive Ramirez was sitting there at the hospital at the end, so I don’t know? Still don’t know how to feel though

This one more thing I just left as “Similarities to MPHFPC series” in my notes, so I don’t remember a whole lot. Only that Sunderworld has these veiled places that sound an awful lot like loops, which I am not complaining about, just makes me go hmmm. Oh yeah now I remember, people in Sunderworld are called sparks and people outside of it are called slacks or something? Sparks = peculiars, slacks = normals. Hmmmmmmmm

The walls have ears in both Sunderworld and peculiardom

Had to point this one out, there’s quite a few Wizard of Oz references in TDoDA/basically TCoTB too

Did you know Richter means judge in German

Riggs putting ”Herr” (Mr.) in front of his name just further tells me that the name was intentional. It’s quite fitting after all
