Finally got around to doing a map of Evenfall now that I’m reviving the project
Sun Kingdom
An ancient sun-worshipping theocracy inspired by Egypt and Venice. Wealthy and ostentatious to an extreme, a society of masks and painted faces, but technologically advanced, with armies of stone golems and automated chariots fueling its expansion. Its capital is Solstice, a manmade oasis carved out of a mountainside. Its sovereign is the adolescent Sun King, a god-ruler in name only, puppeted by his mother the Regent and her Vizier.
Moon Kingdom
A smaller but enigmatic state said to be founded by mystics and spirits, inspired by India and China. A diverse people of night-colored complexion gifted in sorcery and arcane arts, enchanting through song and riding white tigers. Its capital is Whitehaven, an alabaster city of canals built upon the water, protected by a guardian dragon. It is ruled by the Moon Queen (designed by a friend) a sorceress of war, pacified only by her ailing husband King.
