Hi there, I think this about my Summer Sons Fic idea and thank you so much, haha! I love the tags you had on that post - I VERY much want to write a Sam Halse party. Tbh, I am not American, however, I do live rural & have been to many rural bonfire parties so I think I could make it work. Also, "Andrew using both of them as a chew toy meanwhile they're trying to play tug of war with him," EXACTLY. B/c listen I do understand the desire to just immediately have Sam/Andrew/Eddie Work Out but frankly Eddie is SO possessive of Andrew and Sam even says he doesn't want to share with the GHOST of Eddie. Even though we know Sam/Eddie also had a fair bit of chemistry - although they were also snapping at each other quite often trying to Assert their dominance. And this is the dynamic I would love to explore with Sam/Andrew/Eddie. Andrew feels like the outsider b/c he thinks he's intruding on Eddie's new life + new friends in Nashville since Eddie told him not come home (yet) but he's completely oblivious to the fact the Sam/Eddie are obsessed with him & desperately want him around (even as Eddie is STILL trying to hide shit from him and Sam too lowkey, which adds another layer to the complexity especially b/c Eddie is alive to face the consequences of lying to Andrew vs in Canon) and I feel like Eddie & Sam would each have their own insecurities as well b/c Eddie is so used to Andrew being HIS that seeing Andrew have chemistry with Sam & them spending time together & having their own inside jokes & that both of them are kind of against the ghost shit and not really into academia would kind of bother Eddie, but at the same time Sam KNOWS that Eddie/Andrew have history, that they grew up together, that Andrew is willing to follow Eddie anywhere & listens to him about practically everything. And I'm also just excited to write them doing Dumb Shit together. Parting & racing & hanging out in the woods & everything else. Anyway, thank you so much again! It's people actually expressing interest in my silly ideas that compels me to keep writing after the initial burst of creativity. ^_^
