The man shopping in the little market was impossible not to notice. And it wasn’t for his size alone, though he was easily the largest person you’d ever seen. His broad shoulders pulled the black linen fabric of his short sleeve button down taught across his chest, his biceps flexing every time he reached for a different piece of produce. And his muscular legs were on display underneath his pair of black shorts, his thigh muscles clenching with every movement. His choice of clothing allowed for a decent amount of his tattoos to be on display, but something as simple as tattoos never scared you away, even if it should’ve.
He may have had the most mouth watering physique you had ever seen, but it was his handsome face that continued to draw your eye from across the stalls. All sharp and angular, his eyebrows perfectly framing those deep red eyes of his you wished you could see up close. The tattoos on his face stark in the early afternoon light, highlighting yet another sign you should’ve taken to steer clear of this man.
His blush colored hair curled slightly around the edges of his face, either from the salt in the humid air or like most people in this coastal town, he had already visited the beach this morning. His eyebrows were currently drawn close together as he examined a piece of fruit, allowing you to continue to stare at him without being noticed.
“Miss, are you ready to pay?” The worker at the stall you were currently standing in broke through your spell, drawing your attention towards their impatient expression.
You offered them a sheepish smile, handing your sandwich and orange over to them, “I won’t need a bag.”
You paid quickly, shoving your dinner into your tote bag before turning back towards where you had last seen your handsome stranger. But of course, he was gone. It was an unspoken rule if you weren’t buying anything from one stall, you moved on until you found what you needed.
You sighed softly, letting your feet carry you down the pathway leading through the town and towards the water. Hopefully your night would be fun, after all you had just recently discovered an uninhabited island off the coast. The island consisted of an old manor at the very top of its rolling hills. Though the manor was quite run down, you saw all the potential you could do with it, if only you gave it some love and care.
As you finally passed the last stall, the ocean becoming more clear in your vision, a deep voice came from behind you.
“Thought you would’ve looked for me,” you turned to see your handsome stranger, a hint of amusement on his face as he gazed down at you.
“Why would you think that?” You played coy, continuing to walk towards the water.
“You seemed to be doing plenty looking from afar,” he noted as he fell into step with you, his paper bag hanging from one arm as the other pointed towards the dock. “Heading off the mainland?”
“I don’t think it’s safe to tell strange men your plans,” you looked at him from the corner of your eyes as you fought to keep your lips from turning upwards at the sight of his frown.
“Strange men, huh?” He looked over at you, a singular brow raised.
“Oops, I meant stranger,” you let a wry smile appear, shrugging your shoulders gently.
His free hand closed around your wrist, those crimson eyes locking onto yours, “Then don’t let me be a stranger, name’s Sukuna.”
“Well, Sukuna,” you tested his name out on your lips. “How well can you row a boat?”
“As well as you need me to, if you’ll give me your name,” he answered simply, letting his grip on your wrist fall before the two of you began the descent of the stairs leading to the small dock.
“I’ll have to ensure I get my end of the deal first, can’t have you slipping away before your job’s done,” you picked up your pace, leading the two of you to the rowboat you sometimes borrowed from one of the fishermen.
“Whatever you say, trouble,” he shook his head softly.
Luckily said fisherman cleaned the boat out for you, since you had already asked if you could borrow it for today. Many of the people in this town had become acquainted with you as you bounced from place to place, staying with anyone you could manage or picking up odd jobs from them.
“Here she is!” You gestured broadly to the small boat the two of you would have to survive in to get to the island.
“You expect both of us to fit?” He looked between you and the small boat, a look of disbelief overtaking his face.
“We have to if you want this adventure to continue!” You stepped over the edge and into the boat, sticking your arms out to steady yourself against the rocking. “Live a little, Kuna!”
“You’re on nickname basis and I don’t even know your name. How’s that fair?” He grumbled, sitting on the dock before hoisting his long legs over and into the boat, landing smoothly.
“It doesn’t have to be since it’s my world and you’re living in it,” you set your bag onto the floor of the boat, taking your place at the front as a guide.
“Right,” the word was dragged out as he set his bag next to yours, positioning himself at the oars and looking at you.
“Off we go,” you waved him on and pointed in the direction of your little safehaven.

As the boat was being tied to the posts of the small dock, you jumped out running towards the sand as the wind whipped at your hair. You kicked your shoes off before throwing off your oversized crochet coverup you had bought from one of the elderly women you stayed with.
As you were shimmying out of your shorts, Sukuna’s heavy footsteps sounded behind you, signaling he was making his way towards you. You turned to him, your eyes slightly squinting from the rays of the sun as it began its descent.
“You joining me in the water?” You asked, letting your eyes drift down his figure.
“Didn’t bring a change of clothes,” he shrugged as he set the two bags you both had brought on the final plank of the dock. “Gonna tell me your name now?”
“Not unless you get in the water with me, just swim in your underwear,” you waved a hand dismissively.
He scoffed, but you turned your back to him, heading further down the beach before beginning to wade in the water. It was warm as it lapped at your skin, but it still washed away the heat of the sun, and the weight of the day as you submerged your entire body.
When you came up, pushing your wet hair back, Sukuna was standing in front of you, clad in only his boxers.
“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” you let your eyes languidly take in the tattoos that were hiding beneath his shirt, which happened to be inked on top of some of the most defined muscles you’d ever seen before. His pecs were sculpted and sunkissed, you almost leaned forward and took a bite out of one. His abdomen was defined by the eight pack leading your eyes toward the pink happy trail that led into the waistband sitting low on his hips.
“Eyes up here, trouble,” his pointer finger pushed your chin up, his eyes hooded and his pupils slightly wide as he looked at you.
“You’re no fun, I was only looking,” you pushed your bottom lip out with a dramatic huff, letting your eyes get all big as you looked at him through your lashes.
“Eye fucking is more accurate,” he flicked your forehead softly causing you to bat his hand away.
“Whatever,” you huffed, turning away from him and diving back in the water.
The two of you swam until the sun began to get low, your growling stomach no longer ignorable. You made your way towards your bags grabbing your clothes and stuffing them in yours, before looking at Sukuna.
“I’ll hold on to yours so they don’t get wet as we climb up to the house,” you quickly scooped his clothes up, dumping them in your bag without waiting for his response before taking off towards the neverending staircase.
By the time you finally reached the main landing, the sun was starting to set behind the horizon. Everything was bathed in golden rays of light as you led Sukuna across the stone floor, towards the singular table sitting in the center of the main floor.
The landing led to everywhere, it was a large flat area where you imagined parties being hosted or workers carrying laundry through towards the rooms. The kitchen was just off one side, the storage building off another, there were a few buildings dedicated to living quarters, it was pretty massive, you couldn’t understand why someone would abandon this place and you intended to make it yours.
You plopped down into one of the rickety chairs, setting your bag down before pulling out your sandwich and orange, “You wouldn’t happen to have a lighter would you?”
“In the pocket of my shorts,” Sukuna answered as he sat across from you, pulling out the food he had bought at the market earlier.
You rummaged through your bag, finding his shorts and digging out the small lighter. You walked over to the few worn down lamps close by, lighting them before sitting back down.
You both ate in quiet silence, not bothering with words and finding that it was just as comfortable as when you were speaking. You were watching the sun set behind the horizon as it changed from vibrant orange to deep red as he stood, beginning to pull his shorts back on. The few remaining rays disappearing all together by the time he was finished.
“It’s so beautiful,” you murmured, popping the last slice of orange into your mouth as you turned to him.
He was already looking at you, the look in his eyes carrying a weight you couldn’t decipher when he spoke, “It is.”
You smiled softly, feeling your face warm as you looked back at the now pink sky, “Do you want to dance?”
“There’s no music.”
“Who says we need music,” you stood, holding your hand out to him, a small smile on your lips.
His hand was rough and warm in yours as he stood, pulling your body close to his as his free arm snaked around your waist. The two of you settled into a simple movement as the sound of the ocean drifted around you, the rustling of the wind in the leaves becoming your music.
His presence was sturdy around you, a relief you’d never known settling into your bones as your body relaxed into his. Your head rested against his bare chest, the comforting scent of him filling your head along with the familiar smell of the sea.
When the sky darkened, the only light from the moon and the few lamps, you looked up at him, heart heavy in your chest, “Are you going to kiss me, Kuna?”
“Tch,” he shook his head softly before lowering his face towards yours. “I knew you were trouble.”
And then his lips were on yours, gentle and tentative as the two of you became acquainted with the feeling of each other.
When you pulled back slightly to look at him, you smiled, finally giving him your name.
He murmured it quietly between you two before his lips crashed back on yours, rougher and needier than before. His tongue pushed into your mouth as he began to explore and taste, your head growing heavy with thoughts of him and him alone.
Your fingers drifted up into his hair, tugging him impossibly closer to you as you nipped his bottom lip. His arms caged around you, pulling you flush with the growing length beneath his shorts.
He started backing you towards the table, pushing you to sit on it when your thighs came in contact with it.
Both of your movements were rushed, clothes flying off your bodies before you were finally naked in front of each other. The sight of his massive cock causing your mouth to dry as you wondered how it would fit.
He prepped you thoroughly before he pushed inside, your head falling back with a moan at the sheer size of him. Your nails gripped his back harshly, digging lines into his skin as he began to thrust his hips.
Your kisses were sloppy and wet as he fucked you against the table, pleasure like you’d never known before became your reality as the certainty of him solidified in your life.
July 25th
After spending more than a week together, you knew you wanted him, wanted this wonderful and all consuming thing the two of you shared, forever.
You knew he felt the same way. It was obvious when he told you to call him by his first name, Ryomen, offering you a name that would only be spoken by you. It was there in every laugh that came as natural as breathing, in the comfort the two of you found only when you were together, in the undeniable chemistry that had you two all over each other any chance you could get.
What you shared was something you’d never felt before, and you could never imagine feeling it with someone who wasn’t him.
Ryomen Sukuna was your person, your one and only.
And the more time you spent together, that certainty only grew.
July 30st
“Fuck you, Sukuna,” you threw your half eaten mandarin as hard as you could at him.
“Don’t call me that,” he dodged the fruit easily, crossing his arms as he frowned at you.
“You don’t get the fucking right to say that to me,” you stepped near him, putting your finger in his face. “Not after the bullshit you just spewed.”
Sukuna had spent the last few minutes explaining that his time on the mainland was over, he was going back home, but there was no room for you in that picture. No, he was very adamant that the two of you couldn’t be together.
“I never promised you forever,” you flinched at his words, the feeling of your chest caving in overtaking you as red flooded your vision.
You acted without thought, swinging your arm through the air as hard as you could. The sharp sound of contact was loud as his head shot sideways, a red mark blooming on his cheek.
“I hate you,” you seethed as tears began to well up in your eyes, “I hope I never see you again.”
“Don’t say something you don’t mean,” he looked at you with a stoic face, the lack of emotion from him causing you to spill over.
“You said you loved me,” your voice was brittle as heavy tears spilled down your cheeks. “I do love you.”
“Don’t say something you don’t mean,” your voice cracked at the end, his arms reaching out for you. “Don’t touch me!”
“Baby,” the word was spoken softly, a quiet plea as he took a step towards you.
You took a step back, raising your arms in defence, “Goodbye, Sukuna.”
“I’m sorry,” it was barely a whisper, but the impact was monumental.
A wave of rage and sadness washed over you as you sobbed, stepping away from him, “No you’re not.”
Your feet carried you away from him as fast as you could manage, the dock your only goal in mind. The solitude of the island calling your name as you ran, tears streaming down your face and your heart bleeding out on the street at Sukuna’s feet.
August 4th
The pounding of the bass from the speakers was the only thought in your mind as you bounced around, alcohol sitting heavy in your system. Your smile is only mildly forced as you lose yourself in the night, in the music, and in the bodies surrounding you.
Sukuna left.
But you weren’t the type to dwell, which is how you pulled yourself back together, the sting of heartbreak sitting deep beneath the surface as you continued throughout your days.
The island slowly came together as you continued to row out there whenever you could manage. The locals knowing you planned to buy it were fully supportive, offering you help and supplies as they could, the community coming to your support dulled the memory of Sukuna.
Nobody mentioned the pink haired man you only had eyes for, and you preferred it that way.
You pushed through the dense crowd of bodies towards the bar, trying to shimmy your way into the line of sight of the bartender when a hand settled on your bicep.
You turned to see a large man, his beige colored short sleeve hardly buttoned, revealing his muscular pecs beneath. His raven colored hair falling softly across his forehead, his sexy scar on the corner of his mouth shifting with his lips.
“Let me buy you a drink,” his husky voice was in your ear, his jade green eyes drinking you in.
“Go ahead,” you waved him forward, giving him your preferred drink.
“Name’s Toji,” he offered you as the two of you waited on the bartender, his large frame dwarfing yours as he leaned in to be heard over the music.
He wasn’t as large as Sukuna though.
The thought was invasive and angering, which is why you found yourself against Toji in the middle of the dance floor. His large palms guided your hips as you continued moving your ass against him.
Your head fell back against his chest, his hand coming up to clamp around your throat, moving your head before his lips were on yours.
The kiss was messy, the lingering taste of your drinks on your tastebuds as you moved your tongues in sync.
You were laughing together as you left the bar, leading him towards the dock after he mentioned having a motorboat rented. His hand was heavy in yours, the promise of showing him the island slipping from your lips as you started to jog.
His arms came around you, swiftly sweeping you off of your feet as he took off running, the sound of your laughter echoing in the streets along with the thud of his footsteps.
He jumped into the boat, setting you down gently before starting the motor. The two of you shared stories from around the world, Toji telling you how he seemed to have a knack for getting into trouble, his eyes lingering on you when he spoke the word trouble.
It was only a brief moment of pain, but you shoved it back down anyway. Locking it away and hoping to never find it again.
By the time you docked on the island, the moon was heavy in the sky, the water distorting the light on the surface. You guided Toji towards the beach, barely making it halfway down the dock before you were on him.
Your kisses were frantic, your hands prying. When he laid you on the planks, the sound of the water beneath you, you filled your mind with thoughts of only him.
Of his handsome face, the softness of his hair, the feel of him stretching deep inside of you. Toji was rough and thorough, the night lasting long as the two of you connected carnally beneath the moonlight.
August 11th
The stark white hair, sky blue eyes, and the smile that could light up the darkest night could only belong to Satoru Gojo. He was easily the prettiest man you’d ever seen.
He invited himself to sit at your lunch table, introducing himself to you and making you laugh. You let him stay, your conversation flowing naturally as the two of you got to know each other.
When he took you to his favorite spots he discovered in the town, you found yourself smiling easily in his presence. The day faded quickly, and when he asked you where your favorite spot around here was, you easily told him about the island.
When his eyes lit up in excitement, you tugged his hand towards that familiar worn dock, promising to show him your sacred place.
Satoru was filled with excitement as he finally stepped on to the main landing of the island manor, his long legs carrying him as he wandered around the buildings.
His genuine acknowledgment of your vision and what you’d already accomplished was endearing. And when he tried to kiss you, you didn’t pull back, letting his soft pink lips press against yours.
He took you slow and deep on the main landing, laying you down one of the towels you’d brought with you. The rays from the afternoon soon filtering through the trees and illuminating his white hair.
The two of you laid together the rest of the day, sharing your dreams for the future.
August 24th
The villagers let you name your island, it was their way of promising it to you even before you had the money to make it yours.
Natsu Island was yours, and always would be yours alone.
