Jesse watched the rain cascade down the window as well as heard the pound of thunder. He sighed.

Another storm.

Which normally didn't bother Jesse all that much. Sure he preferred the warmth and energy provided by the sun but he never minded storms. He thought all of nature to be wonderful in its own way.

However just recently his beloved childhood pet -er friend- passed away. The same day as a storm. Jesse was still struggling to comprehend the fact he was gone. In his mind he knew it inevitable but in his heart it was impossible.

It was difficult for Axel and Olivia to see him barely smile when that was normally something he'd do without thinking. And even when he did smile it was strained. They were processing their own grief and witnessing their dearest friend in such a state only made it all the harder.

Down below a woman and her dog were speedily walking, distressed as they were apparently caught in the rain.

Reuben loved walks. And his favorite place was the park. He liked the trees, they gave shade.

Jesse swallowed hard as the pressure in his chest built and his vision became blurry.

"Reuben..." he shakily breathed.
