It was a semi quiet Hogwarts afternoon. Like most days, the students ran wild. To much of the professors despair. Daniel stood, leaning against a pillar as he merely “observed” a group of second years. Everyone knew he was judging them and probably muttering comments about them under his breath.

The second years, Godric knows how, sent a spell straight to blow up a couple of crates. They looked at each other, and then ran. Daniel only smirked and rolled his eyes. “Tch… of course. Stupid second years. Why must they even be here?” He muttered.

Then he heard a soft noise come from behind him. And there she was.

Willow Henderson. His Demiguise as he once called her. Standing behind him with her hands clutched to her chest. She had a soft pout played on her lips. Her green eyes staring up at him. “Please be nice Dani…” She whispered.

Bless that boy. He practically folded on the spot. Wrapping her in a hug and resting his chin on her head. “I’m sorry love, please don’t be upset. I was merely observing them. I didn’t mean to bring them any harm. I promise I won’t be mean to them. It’s ok.” He said, as one hand rested on her back and the other cradling her head.

With a kiss to her forehead and a now sweet smile replacing her pout, she took his hand and started rambling about Herbology.

He gladly followed. ‘Merlin… this girl will be the death of me one day..’ he thought. But somewhere in his chest, he didn’t mind. As long as he was the reason that smile stayed on her face.
