Suga: Ofcourse we can.

Oikawa: They think they're better than me.

I can actually see this too.. when I think about it.

So while Oikawa and Sugawara has different personalities, they are both good at analysing people and good at gooding/teasing others. It will be kind of like meeting their match.

Oikawa can tease Suga about his height, but Suga can fire back with that now they have secured a spot in Nationals; he have gotten more confessions and good luck charms.

I think the dynamic will be similar of the rivalry between Daichi and Kuroo. Since they play the same position and so on. I also think while suga is less of a flirt and more quiet, he is not afraid to tease and to tell others what's on his mind. Like this is the guy who just yelled at everyone to calm the fuck down when Karasuno went up against Shiratorizawa.

So their the kind of the friends that can tease and make fun of each other, but also the friends that can talk out their separative frustrations with each other regarding volleyball, school or their self-image.

I also think it's interesting because both Suga and Oikawa had to step down because of Kageyama. While Oikawa grew resentment and anger towards Kageyama and even forgot how fun volleyball could be for him because he ties to much of his self worth to his progress in the sport. While Sugawara's blow was "less" in the sense that they had only been on a team for a couple of weeks, before he himself "stepped down". He told Ukai to make the right decision for the team- it still was a punch in the gut for him. It was still something he had to sacrifice. I think they can help each other work through their emotions regarding that situation.
