After Sunday's Stay Puft trail race, many runners were remarking it was the hottest they'd done. I certainly experienced some heat stress as my #strava #sufferscore attested; 42% in Zone 4 and a high max HR - I've never scored 'Epic' before! My #garmin agreed, with an 'overreaching' training effect; okay as an occasional strategy to kick in adaptations but I need to tread carefully with my #ibd and associated #inflammation and fatigue. π΄ . Of course Monday was flat-chat at work, I was on my feet all day, stretching went by the wayside, and the constant resistance training demonstrations with new clients added up to a solid workout! π Happily the husband cooked dinner because I couldn't stand up for another minute. π . I resisted the temptation to run the Zamia Trail today to see if it felt easy, opting to walk the keen little dog, and splash in the pool afterwards. π¦πΆπ¦ #musing #fitover50 #run #runner #running #trailrace #temperancetrail #motivation #striving #alwayssmiling #goals #gutsy #beatIBD #healthyliving #exerciseismedicine #alcoholfree #winning
