People in my (main's) notes keep citing sanrio boys and fragaria memories as examples of how sparklink stars is just eating reheated nachos by humanizing disney characters, but like. First of all sanrio boys isn't even humanizations, they're just boys who like sanrio. Second of all sanrio characters are literally designed to be marketable mascots devoid of all context. I do think turning them into ikemen is just fundamentally different than turning roz the slug into an ikemen

I'm so mad how into the sparklink rose guy I am. every time I look at him I like him more. the monocle. the sheer gloves. the lace stockings. crazy design choices all of them. the fact that he isn't human. the autotranslation used it/its pronouns for the character and the thought of referring to him as an inhuman magical construct made me want to pass out (positive) (affectionate) (I love robots and this is robot-adjacent TO ME). now if only I could figure out how to spell his fucking name

palworld's monster designs are generally just not good but somehow I find that fact in itself a bit charming. they have this generic blobbiness to them that I kind of like. they're all appealing mascots above anything that makes sense at all

Most surprising thing about my sparklink post leaving my circles so badly is that I've seen multiple people in the tags say it's their first time hearing of twisted wonderland. Tumblr doesn't do fandometrics anymore, but I followed them religiously when they did, and twst was like, extremely consistently in the top video game rankings. Tumblr fucking loves twisted wonderland, statistically. This site is extremely easy to ignore other people on so I guess I get it, but man.
