Submitted by Iggy: Snapped this pic of you because I was the girl at Sac Anime that had to type out the link and go downstairs for wifi to download the power point lol . Anyway it was such a cool a panel.
Thank you so much!
The story behind the panel here is that the laptop for running the slide show ended up not working properly, so we put the slide show onto google drive and let people follow along on their phones. So this is me, sprinting around and handing out the url and the QR code.
Anyway, posts like this really make me smile, so thanks for sharing it!
btw you can make your own cranberry juice that tastes better than store bought A bag of cranberries Honey(i only use a tablespoon but you can use how much you want) And splenda or sweetner of your choice Wash the berries then put em in a crockpot w water and honey&splenda, cook on low for 2-3hrs or longer if u like then strain with a fine strainer and enjoy! your kitty will thank you💕 (discard the berries after cooking)
Thanks, I’ll try this!
@betrayedmartyr:
(a few days ago there was a post about gosurori on rufflechat and I’ve posted some links to glb or gosurori scans/pattern descriptions. I’ve just realised that it might also be helpful for this blog and its readers so I wanted to share a few resources I’ve been using in the past with you. feel free to formate/delete/rearrange etc. anything you want, I’m just here to share those link essentially because I’ve found those to be quite helpful/interesting).
http://frillyroses.blogspot.it/2014/12/lolita-sewing-pattern-list.html (list of patterns included in glb, gosurori and more)
https://misscarolbelle.wordpress.com/list-of-patterns/ (scans of the finished clothing inside and some scans of the patterns/volumes, my all time favourite for having a look at the new otome no sewing editions and whether I want to buy them or not)
https://egl.livejournal.com/19906810.html (egl list for glb up to volume 52 pattern scans and most are still up)
http://www.lolitahistory.com/gallery/ (essentially scans of the very old magazines that have been relevant to lolita and its evolution, has some glb scans that might be useful)
http://jmagazinearchives.blogspot.it/2012/10/gothic-lolita-bible.html (scans of glb)
https://chochololita.livejournal.com/1670.html (a few other pattern scans)
http://www.antipope.org/feorag/gosurori/ (you can find an instruction paper (http://www.feorag.com/gosurori/gr-patterns.pdf direct link to acces the pdf here) on how to work with gosurori (and pretty much every single other similar pattern book) if you don’t speak japanese, and a few other things)
There’s obviously a lot more out there and looking for specific scans might also be very useful. I also would suggest buying the printed magazines if you can afford it, to support the scene/magazine so we can get more editions of those and make sure they do not go out of print. Something else that might help you a lot is downloading the google translate app and using its camera feature (and take a picture instead of just letting it translate directly because that’s making the translation a lot better).
Super awesome master post for a lot of published lolita pattern! Thank you SO much, @betrayedmartyr!!
(as someone who has several copies of GLB, I can definitely confirm that having the physical pattern saves you a LOT of headache and pain)
Can I leave a tip for you guys? A while ago I discovered that aquaphor works wonders for softening your lips!! I find it better than scrubs and Vaseline because it seems to actually penetrate the skin or something... idk. So like...put in on before you go to sleep, put on some more after you wake up and then after you've brushed your teeth the water has softened the dead skin so you can literally wipe it away with some tissue/a towel or whatever floats your boat. Then, reapply the aquaphor!!
thanks for leaving a tip!

Submitted Tip!
Idea from a writing book I picked up: for every positive trait an oc has, add a way it could be negative and vice versa. For example, my main is skilled with computers, but acts like a know-it-all when someone needs help with their device.
I bought the vacation package for the WWoHP less than a week ago and the guest service and vacation package people said that 1.) not many packages have sold due to the price (for the Portofino for 3 nights, FL res discount, and no tickets, it was still over $1000 for me and my mum) and 2.) with the package before July 8th, you get guaranteed access into Diagon Alley but the only uncertainty is Gringotts (which is understandable). Hope this helps clear up the confusion about the package. :)
Thanks so much for the details! I’m actually about to post an image of a email that has been going out to guests starting this evening. Hopefully there’s still some availability based on what you told us! :)
