#subhood

I needed original families from The Sims for my Kalisa’s Old Town (I use this cleaned version by @sunradersimblr​) so I created them.

This is a subhood that contains 23 sims and 11 pets from the original The Sims, they all are cc free. I edited Goth family tree to add Michael Bachelor as Bella’s brother and Gunther and Cornelia as Mortimer’s parents. All children were created using the pacifier function in CAS so that they looked like a mix of their parents.

Installation:

Unzip and put the folder inside your Sims 2 installation folder, in the Open for Business EP’s folder. In my case it’s The Sims 2\EP3Data\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate.

You can add this subhood to any of your existing hoods, all families will appear in the family bin. After adding the families, the subhood can be deleted.

I highly recommend putting @simnopke​ ‘s subtle wrinkles on elder sims to give them more character.

When creating these sims I had face templates replacements in (by Pooklet) as well as a huge amount of custom templates (these are by various creators but were made custom by DeeDee).

Have you ever accidentally added the nasty secret subhoods (aka stealth hoods) to your neighborhood(s) and then later regretted it? Because you couldn't change the neighorhood type anymore? Or do you simply just want to clean a neighborhood for upload and don't want the unnecessary stealth hoods to blow up your neighborhood file size? Well, then this tutorial is for you! :)

Ah, the Tricous and their poor dead friend, Ms. Neengia. Tragic, isn’t it? Oh, you can get them back, but... they are “Teens,” no one knows them, you have to hang in the concrete jungle, you need the Resurrecto-thingamadohookey... it’s a lot. Fun for some players, not so much for others.

Here’s another way. You have here a clean, empty, safe subhood that contains the real true Tricous and Neengia (no cloning) with all memories and relationships intact, resurrected, and moved into two separate families. When you install the subhood and delete it again, they will be left in your main hood bin, ready to live out their simmy little lives.

I got nostalgic while looking for something in particular on one of my exterior hard drives...so nostalgic I forgot what I was looking for!

I did these lots way back in 2009 as a personal challenge. I updated them a bit in 2012 and now I'm updating/adding them as a section in one of my Challenge City sub-hoods.

I call them Palm Grove...originally a section of Pleasantview. The area consists of all those little white (odd looking to me!) modern condos. The challenge was to makeover those lots but keep pretty much in the same style. I tried not to change much of the exterior walls but most all of them have been completely renovated on the inside. There are even 2 apartment buildings!
