To subsurface or not to subsurface? That is the question, and I think I have a pretty clear answer now. I've always been slightly intimidated when it comes to 'sub surface scattering' because of its zillions of options and all the seemingly endless fiddling involved with the whole process. But I think I'm finally seeing the light (no pun intended :P). On the left is just a plain ol' lambert, on the right is with SSS fast skin.
