I think I mentioned a while back that I had to replace my iPad. All the way around a huge PITA. One of the things was that Apple won’t let the new iPad work with my old Apple Pencil. Not even as a dumb stylus with no features. It wouldn’t connect at all. I needed to update it with a new Apple Pencil for either $109 or $169. Well that didn’t go very far. We aren’t broke but I had just dropped two bills on an iPad. I looked around for another option. I was out getting a new case, because a couple of years ago they made it a mm or so bugger in height and width so the old one of those won’t work either. While I was there I spotted a simple stylus on the shelf. It was all of $14. No battery, no charging, no features at all. I figured what did I have to lose so I picked it up.
It works great. I tried it out with Procreate

Ok it’s nothing fancy. I did it with “watercolour” brushes in about fifteen minutes, plus a fill and some fine pen work. But for what I do this worked great.
