StylistTale was inspired by Infinity Nikki, which uh. Has undergone some controversy recently 🫠 but yeah, gacha games be like that. There’s also a gacha system in this AU, but it’s actually story significant and won’t take real people’s money :) The Wishing Stars are the gacha currency.

Anyways, some bonus info on this guy. He washes his clothes by washing himself in the washing machine, clothes still on.

He’s Asexual, and also is Quasiromantic, and also Aesthetic attraction. Yes👍

So the main Thing about StylistTale—besides the fact that it’s main-main Thing is doing dress-up—is that the True Ending of StylistTale requires you(the Player, Stylist, I’ll be switching between “you” and “stylist” here) to do Everything. Starting with the True Pacifist Route, every Neutral Route, a No Mercy Route, the Soulless Pacifist route right after(you’re not allowed to do a second No Mercy Route thx Chara bestie), and having to Encounter and Beat all of the Gaster Followers in Styling Battles, which you do across your different runs. You don’t battle the Mystery Man, but you do need to Encounter him at least once before your Soulless Pacifist run.

You don’t need to collect all of the clothes you get from the Save/Wishing Stars, just all of the clothing from the other Fallen Humans. Those are all of the mandatory clothing you need, but there is an achievement for getting all of the clothes. Btw Stylist gets a badge for accomplishing any achievement, they’re a type of accessory that they can equip.

Back to the True Ending, you have a final styling battle against Chara, and after you win, Chara stays around as a ghost after everyone(not actually all of the monsters, some stay underground) goes to the surface.

After that, it becomes more open worldish. There are some side quests to do to help better the relationship between humans and monsters, and to finish up all of the achievements you haven’t completed. All in all, it’s a pretty chill ending given…the everything you had to do.

Also Stylist can’t Reset anymore now, no one can. You can go back down to the Underground(there’s new stuff down there), but you can’t go back to the beginning. Because of Gaster. And also cause losing all your progress would suck.

I just really like thinking about how ST would work as an actual game :)

The Save Stars can be seen by everyone, but only Stylist(aka the one w/ the most DT) can use it to Save their progress. Everyone else(and Stylist also) uses it to wish for clothes(gambling). The Save Stars are yellow, and the currency used on them, the Wishing Stars, are white(iridescent). The Angel in the Deltarune symbol is a Save Star to symbolize its increased significance within monster society.

And the War between Humans and Monsters is the same as in regular Undertale. And Chara fell down when they were a child, but spent a good few years in the Underground before doing their plan. Naming the fallen child works the same as in UT, with everyone calling you either “Human” or “Stylist.” Or both.

Chara and the Bravery soul were the only children to fall down Mt Ebbot. Most of the Fallen were in their teens or were young adults(like with Stylist). The oldest was the Justice soul who was around mid-20s to early-30s.

Clover may not be canon here, but their outfit is available, since the Save Stars are connected to Void, which spreads across all AUs. Thanks to Gaster. Thanks for falling man.
