RIP to the legendary Drama King DJ Kay Slay. I’ve always had a deep admiration for this brother’s longevity in Hip Hop culture as well as his passion and his ability to stay relevant for decades. We saw him writing graf in 1983’s Style Wars doc (He went by Dez back then); We got the Streetsweeper mixtape series in the 2000s and I was literally just talking about his “Rolling 110 deep” single from last year and how he was one of the few people on the planet that could get over 100 emcees from different generations and regions on one song. He was highly influential and sought after well after he had attained “O.G” status.
