Do the Grimeverse twins intend for their following to expand past Pandora? what do they think when they first realize their reach
It’s both expected and a total surprise.
The twins have a rough first two years on Pandora; rough to the point where planning more than a week or two ahead isn’t an option and the moment where they sit down and declare what they want is a huge deal, even if it does take place in the back of a janky, old truck.
Tyreen says her goal is bandits: for eating and attention (and oh man does her need for attention specifically from bandits get picked apart). Troy says goal is euphoria. Their mutual unspoken goal is to keep Tyreen alive. They’re each pointedly aware that they can no longer do that while continuing to impersonate normal people.
The burden of reaching all three of these goals ultimately rests heavier on Troy because he’s the brains of their operation and because of what he actually is per Grimeverse lore (LSS magic).
SO!
He knows. He has seen their empire as a possible outcome from the start, but he recognizes the burden that comes with it much too well. It keeps him up at night from when they have their first followers. The euphoria serves as a distraction.
Tyreen gets her bandits fairly fast and after that goes back to looking no more than two weeks ahead for a long, long time.
