some things for class
More stuff from uni, this time for character design class. This is Alana, the leader of a group of rebels called the Red birds in a post apocalyptic world. She is a mutant who can turn into a bearded vulture. Her and her brother (character on the far right of the last picture) were made by an organization, which she later betrays, escaping and leaving her brother behing.
Jericho (the character right next to her) is the best pilot of the group, they often work together and have a pseudo-romance, that will, eventually, flourish once the war is over. Chris is Jericho's daughter, a good kid who doesn't yet fully comprehend what her dad does, but still thinks it's cool! Also yes they're wearing Jericho's jacket.
Alana is a strict leader for the Red birds, but she is even more strict on herself. She's often overworked and ends up crashing after many nights of not resting. Luckily for her, Jericho will always be there to support her

The gamifiication of elections has made our most basic civic duty complicated and tiring. No longer is it just "vote for the best person for

Instead it’s becoming a series of strategic decisions and complicated calculations made in a desperate attempt to create a government of politicians who will actually improve our lives.
In practice, gamification looks like obsessively reading polls in an attempt to gain an edge or dispel rumors about your party. Or “wasting” your vote on the candidate you want to win, even if the polls say they won’t win, because you want to send a message to the political establishment. Or, my favorite, voting for a candidate you don’t like in a primary to help a candidate you do like win the general election.
Sure, not all of this is new. We’ve been told to “vote for the lesser of two evils” for decades. This country’s electoral process has always been imperfect..."
