Hey everyone! wow wow wow it’s been a hot minute since I've been able to sit down and really write something for this blog. But thankfully I have finished all my finals, graduated high school, and am on summer vacation so I’m really excited to get back to doing things I love again like this blog! And reading and learning things for fun and telling you all about it.

I guess the purpose of this post was to like check in, give some updates things like that so I guess I’ll start haha:

- Like I said, I have graduated high school and I’m starting college in the fall but I have no clue how to college! So if there are any cool college studyblrs that you would recommend me follow, please send them my way! Or any advice posts etc.

- I’m going to be a pre-med major so big yikes lol I’m curious to see how my journey unfolds going down that route and that’s why I kind of want a youtube channel to document that stuff, I also think it would be a great stress reliever for me, I love editing artsy montages and stuff 

- I also mentioned this a little but some summer bucket list stuff I had in mind: 

*learning mandarin again 

*studying more math for fun?

*reading a lot more! (hmu with any book recommendations)

*learning more in depth about video editing 

*bullet journaling for next year (bullet journal recommendations?)

uhm hi omg i legit might cry because studysnooze (this blog!!) has hit 9,000 freaking followers like i don’t know what to do with myself anymore 😂that means 9,000 people decided to hit follow on my tiny blog and i can’t even imagine it like guys i literally had 6 whole friends before this let alone now having 9,000 now. it’s really crazy how i started this blog in october of 2017 as a small, antisocial, anxious-about-everything student looking to get motivation + rekindle my love for school, and to find more friends who see the world kind of like me :’) i had no intention of growing this blog to be this big but it did??? 

i also kind of found my niche which is student mental health and i’ve gotten SO MUCH support by you guys sharing your stories and experiences. it really makes me feel like i’m not alone in the world and the world gets pretty lonely sometimes you know? so thank you, immensely for 9,000 followers. maybe i’m not studyquill or emmastudies with like a trillion followers but i just hope that i can continue to help someone get through their student struggles by lending a hand with this blog ❤️

that being said!! what would you like to see from me as a celebration? 😱i could host a giveaway (or should i wait until 10k?) maybe film a study with me Q&A about me or questions you have about anxiety or student questions, literally anything, i’m open to suggestions so please put it in my ask box or reblog this whatever haha 

01 🈲STUDY MANDARIN every day for 30 minutes before school! bc i kind of missed it... and i want to be somewhat ahead next year in college :) anyone have links to free workbooks online? 

02 😴MEDITATE every evening: i want to be more in touch with my body and the way my mind works, hopefully this helps soothe some of my anxiety at least a little

03 ⏰create a consistent STUDYBLR SCHEDULE: this is simple- i.want.to.create.content. i was SO piled up with work over this past school year that i didn’t have a spare minute to create anything, i barely got my regular schedule in check ahaa but i love creating! so i’m thinking once a week on like tuesdays? tuesday is my favorite day so yeah haha and hopefully gain enough courage to maybe start a youtube channel as well? but baby steps...

03a 🤠i also want to make my MASTERPOSTS COOLER! i think the all text thing is so drab and it’s hard for people to read all the way so i’m working on adding more things like emojis, colors, and more precise sentences 

04 🚗practice DRIVERS ED every day afterschool!: i finally have time and energy to start learning to drive and my goal is to get my permit by.. let’s say LATEST March but i really want by the end of january 

05 🤖i want to work on my WORK ETHIC more. i find it that when i finally get up and do things, i’m insanely productive but starting is just soooo hard ;/

06 📚READ READ READ more for fun! i am so ashamed to say that i think i read like half of one book for fun this past year and as someone who used to easily read over 300 pages a day, it’s staggering to me really

06a 🧮connected to that, i want to spend more time OFF OF MY TECHNOLOGY. although it’s a great resource, i use it a lot to waste time and i want to replace that with reading. i’m really near-sided now so i have to pretty much wear glasses all the time for the first time and technology just makes my eyes hurt too much p.s any advice for new full time glasses wearers? 

07 🌊MORE WATER! this past year i’ve had to cut out coffee and tea completely from my diet and i was sooo sad! the caffeine is really bad for people with anxiety apparently and it really didn’t hit me until one day when i drank coffee and had a huge panic attack out of nowhere. i used to have coffee or tea at least 3 times a week and i just LOVE the taste of coffee in general so i guess i’m a hot chocolate gal now :(! but my skin has been poppin’ lately so that’s good ✨
