Since the first week of biology classes, I've been reintroduced to the microscope. It's an actual pain to try and look at specimens without your eyelashes getting in the way but I sorta got the hang of it and I got way too excited for someone who's looking at really really small structures of life.
Anyway, an important skill for a biology lab course is recording by biological drawing - SDL. Study. Draw. Label.
So here's an onion epidermis cell stained with iodine under HPO 40X magnification and my biological drawing of it. I have yet to label the visible parts of the cell but I just wanted to share this cz it's so damn pretty! 😍😍😍
I can't be the only one excited about this right?! You get to see THIS from what looks like nothing but a browny leaf thing on a glass slide! Aaaaaaaahhhhhh
