Study Proposal，顾名思义也就是学习计划，一般来说本科生申请出国留学可能很少会被要求写这个东西，但是如果要申请研究生出国留学的话那么被要求写Study Proposal也是在意料之中。一篇Study Proposal是向老师介绍自己的主要的研究方向，相当于是给老师吃个定心丸，告诉老师自己并不是去贪图享乐而是实打实的想做研究。说白了就是给老师表明自己的学习态度。那么接下来美伦教育就给大家说一下这个Study Proposal到底该怎么去写。

提纲：Study Proposal字数要求不多，大概在800字左右就行，下面就来说说Study Proposal的提纲：

1.研究课题：告诉老师你的硕士生涯对那些课题比较感兴趣，想要研究哪些问题。

2.研究背景：介绍一下自己为什么决定研究此课题，是受到了以前哪些学学者作品激发了研究兴趣等等。（文中可以适当放一些艺术家作品，主义需要彩色打印）。

3.研究方法：通过什么方法研究你的课题。陈述自己要用的一些研究方法；告诉老师要调研什么，如何去调研，调研结果有哪些结果以及如何运用这些结果。

4.将来用到的资源：（资料，设备，技术等）包括学校资源：设备、学校工作室…… 人力资源：专家学者、导师、同学……社会资源：博物馆、美术馆、图书馆……

5.参考文献Bibliography

写Study Proposal照样需要参考文献。在我们前面的文章中有很多关于参考文献的写作方法，大家可以去翻阅参考一下。用标准References/Bibliography 的格式列举30-40条，英文原版书籍要占到1/3以上，最后把文献按照A-Z顺序排列。

Study Proposal

During this module I plan to focus on the concepts of 'cost' and 'worth'. My previous work has been about the changing surroundings of my home town during economic downturn and how people project themselves upon objects. Now I want to move forward with this and explore the cost of things and whether these costs are materialistic or immaterial. The worth of something is measured in cost of it and you must exchange one thing for another, and I plan to see how worth and cost can be measured and is what we give up equal to what we gain. Cost and worth are not simple concepts they don't simply refer to monetary value but also to other things that we exchange: time, energy, skill ect. During a time where the cost of living seems to feature heavily in the News I wonder what exactly are those costs on some more basic levels. In a world where everything has a cost what are we truly paying just to live.

Some of these things are difficult to measure or capture but I plan to use photography and film to document and record these exchanges in my everyday life. The reason I want to use photography is because the act of taking a photograph itself is an exchange, of light and time . Photographs and film are perhaps one of the most honest of mediums, they simply show what can easily be seen in front of the photographer. Yet photographs can be altered, they can be edited and I'm interested how reality of the physical world that we see before us can be altered to show the truths of things that are most certainly real like air but are difficult to see. Cost and worth are also things that certainly exist yet sometimes are not so easily measured or seen. I have touched on this in some of my previous work recording my commute to and from uni. As someone who suffers from a chronic illness I have gained a new understanding of cost of what must be given up in order to just do daily activities. It is this that has inspired me to think about the daily exchanges we all make in order to maintain our lives.

Artists that are relevant to my work are artists like Janine Antoni who explores the process of making art and how they relate to everyday activities. I’m particularly interested in the work she did for Slumber where she recorded her REM sleep cycles and then weaved them into a blanket. Also the work of Piero Manzoni who tried to document and contain everyday exchanges such as Artist's breathe, to even excrement. It is this method of recording and documenting the everyday that interests me about these artists and I hope to implement some of these concepts in my own work.
