#studio thoughts

Manifesting another studio space in the next year maybe ? Painting at home in my apartment has been kinda nice though like I've been working small and pretty tidy, painting in the in-between hours, sleepy after dinner, in pyjamas etc, which reminds me of being a teenage girl. The space I was in the last few years, pictured here, was in an industrial part of the city so it was noisy with traffic most of the day (didn't mind it too much but also felt extra fumey), but the light was so good, so bright and clear.

Shots from a day in the studio yesterday! I got this little digital camera and I'm going to start using it to document my journey! I actually love that the photos are so imperfect - and it even puts the dates and times on the screen like the little camera I used to use when I was little!

I desperately need new paint brushes. I have no big ones and a 30"x40" canvas to cover.... I'm thinking I should just pour the paint? I have a little funnel and half a sponge... that'll have to do for now because I am not in the mood to go to the store after work. And maybe it's better this way. I've been incorporating more texture into my work recently and this could be another way to do that.... we shall see...

I want to start a new painting. I have not finished any of the paintings OR illustrations I'm currently working on. What to do what to do....
