So this summer I spent a few weeks renovating my studio space. It involved: restoring an old desk I got for super cheap (top photo) from craigslist. It’s probably from the 50′s and is one of those secretary desks with the roll tops. It took about 4-5 days to strip all the old varnish - which was super gross and caked on, and then sand and re-finish it. It was completely worth it though, because this desk is one of my favorite things of all time. 

The other thing that took forever was stripping the old wallpaper from this room. This meant re-plastering 2 entire walls because the people who put that wallpaper up (also probably from the 50′s) used... superglue??? And they didnt seal the drywall before putting it up which meant half the drywall came down with the wallpaper. 

Before this, this room had 3 different color walls: ugly wallpaper, a pale blue and one wall that was painters tape green. It was.... so ugly.
