How to become a little bit more productive in 4 steps
Yeah, I know that there are lots of similar articles on the Internet, but laziness doesnât go anywhere because of that, though maybe you on a sudden will find here something new. Spend a couple of minutes now, and possibly the next couple of hours you can work pretty productively.
Step 1 (determinative): Motivate yourself.
No one will do the work for you. This can be repeated endlessly. And instead of spending time watching someone else's amazing photos, you can start making your own. Small awards and short term goals will help very well in this.
Youâve learnt 50 new words and understood 2 difficult grammatical constructions in a week? Yes, now you can run after those stickers.
Youâve got an A / 5/10 / higher_grade_in_class for test, for what youâve prepared for more than one evening? This is an excellent reason to see a new episode of your favorite TV series.
Step 2 (supporting): arrange "sleepy" breaks.
Perhaps, this principle wonât work for everyone, but it's always worth trying. Try to nap 1-2 times a day for about 15-20 minutes. If youâre afraid of falling asleep, put a loud alarm clock in advance. After such "sleepy" breaks you will feel much fresher, and it also improves concentration and attention.
Step 3 (environmental): calm music is a silver, and silence is a gold.
If you need to learn new material, prepare for an important test or write an article - it's better to turn off any extraneous sounds (of course, unless neighbor children try to show their skills in playing the flute to the whole house). Work in silence can seem very unusual, but you'll spend much less time repeating the paragraph, if you donât sing along with your favorite song.
Step 4 (conclusive): allow yourself to be imperfect.
Donât blame yourself for one missed training session, otherwise while you think about the missed hours for Math, you will lose time for English. Everyone needs rest and holidays. Do not forget about the rest, walks (alone and with friends), delicious food and just enjoy what you do âĽ
with love,
from imperfectÂ
