Pierwsza część warsztatów z cyklu „Artystyczne techniki haftu ręcznego” już za nami!😁

Wczoraj podczas spotkania poznawaliśmy technikę haftu za igłą – jedną z podstawowych technik haftu ręcznego. Było dużo skupienia, kreatywności i świetnej energii przy wspólnej pracy.

Dziękujemy za super atmosferę, ogromne zaangażowanie i tak duże zainteresowanie warsztatami!🥰

The first part of the “Artistic Hand Embroidery Techniques” workshop series is already behind us! 😁

During yesterday’s meeting we explored the backstitch embroidery technique – one of the fundamental hand-embroidery techniques. There was lots of focus, creativity, and great energy while working together.

Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere, huge engagement, and such great interest in the workshops! 🥰

It turns out sculpture is hard and trying to map out how to fold things and what shapes to make to get the result you want is ALSO HARD ! funny how that works  we are developing paper and wire masks based on cultural masks from different areas around the world, mine is based on designs from the Yup’ik culture (indigenous peoples in present-day Alaska!) and the Hevehe masks of Papua New Guinea :) 

We are also working with making gif content in Photoshop (something I’m really familiar with, but is a new skill in the course I’m in!) and using them in presentations based on one of our classmates. My partner happens to really like geese, so I made this silly animation based on a sweater she had on while we were playing around in class. 

Other than that, I’m just keeping busy with refining my portfolio and trying to set everything up on my website!
