Relistening to DnDads and in season 1 episode 21 Beth's Ron fact is about a mirror in his childhood home that said Stud on it and I just realized that it must have belonged to Stud Stampler. I love that Ron had a connection to Stud even though he probably never knew it

Expanding on the idea that Willy was actually affected by Stud's death. Like yeah, he probably hated him to a very high extent, but Stud was his only family. His dad was horrible and drank himself to death, leaving Willy alone for the first time. Then Stud comes in, treats Willy like a son, and tries to be there. But the last thing Willy ever hears from Stud is about him going somewhere on a train, before he never sees him again. Willy didn't know that he was killed, he might have thought Stud just abandoned him. I think it's fair to assume that Stud's absence might have influenced Willy's behavior and actions further down the line.
