Stuck at home in the pandemic
I am irked that I have lost my liberties, because politicians in the UK have lifted restrictions, which means many thousands and including the vulnerable and clinically vulnerable are now stuck in their homes indefinitely.
In the pandemic, it is up to any serving government to make sure that we can go about our lives safely. Whilst masks were being worn I was able to get out into the shops, into my life. Whilst, and I have said this before, any serving government would have struggled to get their head around the enormity of a pandemic, it is important the decisions they make, work for everyone.
There are thousands of people like myself, who are high risk, and who are locked in our homes, because of decisions being made that leave us with no choice. It's important we be allowed to live our lives, that we can leave our homes safely. It is good for our mental health.
Now the pandemic is underground, it’s clear the UK government are self-serving, with thousands of people now permanently locked in their homes. Removing precautionary measures is a party decision that works for the economy. It is important to think about that.
In the UK, and now with all precautionary measures completely lifted, I am stuck at home. Â If I manage a walk, I mask up, and if I go to the hairdressers, I mask up and wear a visor and have to ask that my stylist does too.
February 24th 2022 in the pandemic, is the day the UK PM lifted restrictions, giving freedom FOR THEM TO DO AS THEY PLEASE, in a world that that has already claimed 5,952,215 deaths (source: who.int).
Even if common sense never prevails, and the UK government continue taking this stance, it is important to use common sense and continue with the physical precautionary measures, because these restrictions saves lives and keeps you safe.
For those not stuck at home, you can still catch Covid without the physical measures and become reinfected. Keeping the mask measure at least allows those stuck at home to adjust into pandemic life, so that we’re not permanently stuck at home.
This is a UK government decision fit only for the government’s current political agenda, and not in people’s best interests. Whether you run with the the facts or not, all my blogs are factual based. I only write the universal truths; what I write is the truth. What you’re seeing with the UK government are non-truths.
It is important to continue to make mental health a priority, or to start. To order your copy of my book, just follow the link  http://amzn.to/3ptNJGG

seeing the kickstarter being mentioned in homestuck feels like a cameo but instead of recognizing a celebrity in the background, you get to wave at a trainwreck passing by.

what I didn’t expect when I started reading homestuck was how profoundly it would impact the way I see the world and no, I don’t mean this in a philosophical way, what I mean is that homestuck references are fucking everywhere on the internet, EVERYWHERE. I am by now convinced that at least 20% of tumblr urls are homestuck references and I never noticed that before, same goes with art styles from artists, it really is obvious how many of y’all have been influenced by homestuck. however, this ubiquitousness isn’t limited to tumblr. I was looking for stickers on redbubble recently and saw some sweet bro and hella jeff stickers?? how is this webcomic fucking everywhere while being completely unrecognizable to the uninitiated??? I feel like I took the red pill in a world where the matrix consists of troll names and jokes about falling down stairs and now I can’t possibly ever unsee it.
As far as I understand, I am in what is considered to be "still the good part of homestuck" and so far, reading it for the first time is nothing but *laughs like a 14-year-old who just made a dick joke* *has no idea what the fuck is going on* *watches a scene from a nicholas cage movie* *wants to give their favourite characters a hot chocolate and a hug* *has no idea what the fuck is going on* *thinks about free will in a pre-determined universe* *wants to slap Andrew Hussie for making a racist/ableist joke* *has no idea what the fuck is going on but it doesn't matter because HOLY SHIT THIS FLASH ANIMATION SLAPS* *cringes*
by far the worst thing about reading homestuck for the first time now is how with every page that I get deeper into troll lore, I can see more and more clearly how my 14 year old self would have completely lost their mind and become totally insufferable if they read homestuck when it came out.
