Back at it again...for the 295836375 time again for another video of TRAP BAR Deadlifts...I told y’all how much I love these, right? 😑 . Anywho, today (which was two days ago😅) was a pretty routine day, but I ran into a funny situation...this was suppose to be a top set of 435lbs for 4 reps, but...I can’t fit that onto the bar. So I had a choice, I could go up, or go down. . Welp, mama ain’t raise no bitch, and my future husband could’ve been here, so I wasn’t about to embarrass myself, so of course I went up to what I could fit: 455lbs...and failed that bitch gracefully 😂😂😂. . Hopefully my future husband decided to take the day off from the gym 😅. . But alas, this was not how I planned to leave the gym today. I walked away, got some water, ate some Sour Patch Kids, put some chalk on my hand, prayed to the heavens and Goku, and picked that lil bitch up...yay 👍🏾💯💪🏾 Then right after, I properly died 😵😅. Quick Sidenote: You know that face your mom makes before telling you not to embarrass her in the store...that’s what the bestie @_missbriatr_ face is saying right now 😅 Sorry I’m posting this so late but, a few weeks ago I did my first USPA powerlifting meet ‪and lemme tell you...‬ this went FAR FUCKING BETTER THAN I COULD’VE HOPED. Not only did I PR everything, BUT I ALSO PLACED 2RD!!! (We left before they announced it😅) SQUAT: 415lbs (3/3) BENCH: 237lbs (2/3: I started before the “start” command. My bad😅) DEADLIFT: 451lbs (3/3) ‪ This was a “fucking-fantastical-phenomenal” day. The energy in the air and the rush of walking on the platform was more than I could’ve imagined. If I’d known I’d feel like this powerlifting, I would’ve started ages ago 😁💯🙌🏾 ‬This year couldn’t have started off better. And God knows I needed a win 😭🙏🏾😂.
