cioccolata and secco bird match? they are faves of mine but i think cioccolata might be difficult to find in bird equivalent...
Honestly, I’ve been struggling with Cioccolata 😭
I would say Secco is a White-crowned Starling (based on color palette) but I’ve been trying to find a bird that matches his… interesting energy, so to speak.
But I thought it would be kind of clever to pick a bird that really likes sugar/nectar (like Secco!) so I picked a Green-backed Firecrown.
Streak-throated Hermit Phaethornis rupurumii
A species of hummingbird found in Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, and Venezuela. The streak-throated hermit feeds on nectar and also on small arthropods, but details of its diet and foraging technique have not been published. Its song is "an incessant 'tsi tsi jéb dé tsi tsi jéb dé' or 'eesee-eesee-eesee, eesee-eesee-eesee-swur'", typically sung from a perch near the ground.
Lazuline Sabrewing Campylopterus falcatus
A species of hummingbird found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. The lazuline sabrewing forages for nectar mostly from the understory to the forest's mid level, usually by trap-lining but sometimes also defending patches of flowers.
