For the second part of Drawing Sound this fall, String Noise (Conrad Harris and Pauline Kim Harris) are curating a three-night event, featuring different performers each night, which include Alvin Lucier, Greg Saunier, and Jad Fair. On the final night, this Sunday, September 13, guitarist Jad Fair will be performing in our gallery. Fair is also a singer and graphic artist, while he is remembered for creating the lo-fi alternative rock group Half Japanese. Fairβs paper cut-outs, like the one in this post, will be projected in our Main Gallery during his performance. Drawing Sound II September 11-13 at 7:30pm Tickets $10 at door or via Brownpapertickets.com Details via the link in our profile or on drawingcenter.org. Throughout the three-day event, Echoic Memory, a site-specific sound piece by artist and composer Spencer Topel, will be installed in the Drawing Room. #DrawingSound #StringNoise #JadFair @StringNoise Image: By musician and artist Jad Fair, Summer Fun , 2014.
