Sad little new visitor this afternoon. She has bad stringfoot, on both feet-they were actually tied together, you can see the beige string in this photo. She got some seed and water, and looks to be in good condition otherwise, but it's such a painful, shitty situation

Once again my dude Coopuccino came during a short period where I wasn't able to try anything, just quickly put out seed and take a few photos through the window. He was eating in front of the net at least, and standing.

About a week ago me and my mum managed to catch a pigeon with severe stringfoot, we helped him to the best of our abilities, untangling the toes we could save, but one of his toes was already dead and the string was wound too tight around it for mum to get a hold of it. During this last week I've seen him every now and then among the rest of our flock (thankfully he doesn't seem scared of me which is a huge relief considering the guilt i felt for betraying his trust by capturing him briefly), he was always limping really badly and his dead toe was folded under his foot in a way that must've been incredibly painful for him when he walked.

(Apparently ppl don't really use the word apothecary in English anymore but it feels weird to call it anything else since that's what the place where you get your common medical products as well as prescriptions is called in Swedish (just a bit different obviously))
