Hii, how are you? I love your fics, especially your stream ones and I was wondering if you take requests, and if you do please can you do a bf!ln4 x reader where reader lost a bet or smtg so she has to play a horror game with Lando and Max on stream but reader gets like really scared and ends up having a panic attack? Idk if that makes sense but yeah, and I'm sry if you don't take requests âąââą
Game Over
â- Warnings: Panic attack
â- Genre: lando x reader fluff, streaming, horror game, comforting
â- Request: yes
â- Masterlist
Summery: After losing a bet, youâre forced to play a horror game on stream with Lando and Max â until things go too far and Lando has to comfort you live on camera.
ââ-
The bet had started three days ago
It was stupid, really.
You had confidently told Lando Norris and Max Fewtrell that there was absolutely no way either of them could beat you at Mario Kart because they both âdrove professionally and somehow still sucked at fake driving.â
That had led to a tournament.
Which had led to you losing spectacularly after getting hit with three blue shells in a row.
And now you were standing outside Landoâs streaming room staring at the setup like it was your execution.
âNo,â you said flatly, arms crossed. âActually no. I changed my mind.â
Lando was already laughing before you even finished speaking. He spun around in his chair to look at you, headset hanging around his neck.
âYou canât change your mind after the fact.â
âYes I can.â
âThatâs not how bets work.â
âIt should be.â
Max snorted from the other side of the room. âChatâs been waiting all day for this.â
You looked at him in betrayal. âYou told them?â
âMaybe.â
âMax!â
The stream had already started ten minutes earlier, the âStarting Soonâ screen replaced by the familiar room setup. Donations and chat messages flew down the monitor so fast they were barely readable.
The second you walked into frame, chat exploded.
CHAT
-SHES HERE
-NO WAY
-THE BET LMFAOOO
-reader horror stream finally
-lando looks way too excited about this
-protect her already
-she looks terrified đ
You pointed accusingly at the camera. âYou people are evil.â
âThatâs not very nice,â Lando said dramatically.
âYouâre making me play a horror game!â
âYou agreed.â
âI was manipulated.â
âYou signed the contract.â
âThere was no contract!â
Max leaned toward the mic. âThere actually is. We printed one.â
Your jaw dropped.
Lando burst into laughter at your expression, reaching out automatically to tug you closer by your wrist until you ended up standing between his knees.
âYouâll be fine,â he said, grinning up at you.
âI hate scary games.â
âYou hate scary movies. Different category.â
âIt is literally the same category.â
Chat was losing it.
-SHES SO DONE
-lando comforting her before it even starts đ
-this is gonna end badly
-max instigating as usual
-boyfriend privileges revoked
Lando finally pulled you down onto his lap despite your protests, wrapping an arm around your waist while Max loaded up the game.
The second the menu music started â low, eerie, unsettling â your entire body tensed.
âOh my god no.â
âYou havenât even started.â
âItâs already scary.â
Lando laughed into your shoulder. âBaby, itâs menu music.â
âExactly.â
The game itself was one of those first-person psychological horror games with dark hallways and way too much ambient noise.
You lasted approximately four minutes before the first jumpscare.
A figure suddenly appeared at the end of the hallway accompanied by a loud screeching sound.
You screamed so hard you nearly launched yourself completely out of Landoâs lap.
The room erupted instantly.
Max was doubled over laughing.
Lando nearly fell backward in his chair trying to catch you.
Chat absolutely exploded.
-OH MY GOD
-IM CRYING
-HER SCREAM đđđ
-SHE JUST ASCENDED
-lando caught her so fast
-MAX IS DYING HELP
âNope,â you said immediately, grabbing for the keyboard to exit the game. âDone. Finished. Goodnight everybody.â
Lando tightened his arms around you before you could escape. âNo no no, you have to play longer than four minutes.â
âI think I saw my soul leave my body.â
âYouâre okay.â
âIâm literally not.â
He was still laughing, but softer now, rubbing circles against your side while you buried your face into his shoulder.
âYouâre shaking,â he noticed.
âBecause you two are horrible people.â
Max managed to recover enough to speak. âYou screamed before the thing even moved.â
âBecause I sensed bad vibes!â
Another twenty minutes passed with varying levels of disaster.
Every creak made you jump.
Every sudden sound made you grab onto Lando.
At one point you accidentally smacked his headset clean off his head because something moved in the corner of the screen.
Chat loved every second.
-SHE HIT HIM đ
-boyfriend down
-lando is fighting for his life
-her survival instincts are violence apparently
But slowly, the joking started fading.
At least for Lando.
Because he could feel the difference between normal scared and genuinely overwhelmed.
Your reactions were getting quieter instead of louder.
You kept pulling your sleeves over your hands.
Your breathing sounded uneven against his shoulder.
And every time the game got tense, you curled tighter into yourself.
Lando glanced at you during a quieter moment in the game.
âYou okay?â
You nodded too fast. âMhm.â
But your voice sounded strained.
Max noticed too, his smile fading slightly.
âYou donât have to keep going, you know.â
âNo, itâs fine,â you said quickly. âIâm fine.â
Then the game hit you with another sequence.
Dark hallway.
Heavy breathing through the speakers.
Flickering lights.
Something chasing the character.
You froze entirely.
âRun,â Max was saying. âRun run run RUNââ
The monster suddenly appeared directly onscreen with a distorted scream.
You gasped sharply.
Not screamed.
Gasped.
Then immediately shoved the headphones off.
âNopeâ no no noââ
Lando sat up instantly.
âHey.â
Your breathing was wrong.
Too fast.
You were trying to inhale but it kept catching halfway.
Your hands were trembling hard now as you pressed them against your face.
âHey, hey,â Lando said quickly, voice completely different now. Calm. Serious.
Chat noticed immediately.
-wait
-is she okay?
-pause the game
-oh no
Max muted his own mic without even being asked.
Lando turned fully toward you in the chair, one hand holding your wrists gently.
âLook at me.â
You shook your head hard.
âI canâtââ
âYes you can. Look at me for a second.â
Your chest hurt.
Everything felt too loud.
The game sounds.
The lights.
The stream.
The chat moving too fast.
You could feel yourself spiraling and it only made you panic more because thousands of people were watching.
âIâm sorry,â you said breathlessly. âIâm sorry, I donât know whyââ
âDonât apologize.â
His voice stayed incredibly steady.
âYouâre okay. Just breathe with me.â
You tried.
Failed.
Your breathing hitched again.
Lando immediately pulled the headset fully off himself and reached over to mute everything game-related before turning back to you completely.
âCâmere.â
He guided you sideways until you were basically curled against his chest, one arm wrapped tightly around your back.
âYouâre alright.â
Max quietly switched the stream scene so the gameplay disappeared, replaced with a âBRBâ screen.
But the microphones were still on low volume.
Not enough for chat to hear everything clearly.
Just enough to hear Lando softly talking to you.
âBreathe slowly for me, okay?â
You nodded shakily against him.
âIn through your nose.â
He demonstrated the breath first.
âThen out slowly.â
Your breathing was still uneven, but you were trying.
âThatâs it,â he murmured.
One hand stayed on the back of your head while the other rubbed slowly up and down your spine.
âNo oneâs upset with you.â
You squeezed your eyes shut.
âI ruined the stream.â
âYou did not ruin the stream.â
âIâm being dramaticââ
âNo.â His tone stayed gentle but firm. âYou had a panic attack. Thatâs not being dramatic.â
The room was quieter now.
Max had moved off camera completely, likely checking chat and moderating things.
Lando stayed focused entirely on you.
âYouâre safe,â he said softly. âItâs just us in the room, yeah?â
You nodded slightly.
âCan you feel me holding your hand?â
Another nod.
âGood. Keep focusing on that.â
It took a while.
A real while.
Your breathing gradually slowed from panicked gasps into shaky breaths.
The tightness in your chest eased little by little.
Lando never once rushed you.
Never acted embarrassed.
Never acted annoyed that stream had basically stopped.
He just kept talking quietly.
Asking simple questions.
Keeping you grounded.
Eventually you lifted your head slightly from his chest, eyes puffy with embarrassment.
âIâm okay now.â
âYou sure?â
âYeah.â
He brushed hair carefully away from your face.
âYou scared me a little.â
Your expression crumpled immediately. âIâm sorry.â
âBaby.â He gave you a look. âAgain with apologizing.â
You sniffed quietly
âI didnât think it would actually affect me like that.â
âThat game was horrifying,â Max finally chimed in from somewhere offscreen. âI almost had a heart attack too, for the record.â
You laughed weakly despite yourself.
Lando smiled a little at the sound.
âThere she is.â
Chat, meanwhile, had completely shifted moods.
The spammy jokes had turned into concern and support.
-hope sheâs okay :(
-lando handled that so well
-panic attacks are awful
-poor girl
-max muting everything immediately was sweet
-take care of her omg
Lando glanced at the monitor briefly before looking back at you.
âDo you want to end stream?â
You hesitated.
âProbably.â
âOkay.â
âNo horror games ever again though.â
âAgreed.â
Max finally reappeared beside the desk. âThe people demand Mario Kart redemption instead.â
You pointed weakly at him. âYou are partially responsible for my suffering.â
âOnly partially?â
Lando laughed softly and pressed a kiss against the top of your head.
âCâmon,â he said quietly. âLetâs end stream and go lay down for a bit.â
You nodded immediately.
And when Lando reached for the mouse to end everything, chat caught one last thing before the stream cut off completely:
You instinctively reaching for his hand again.
And him squeezing it back without even looking.
