Just in case it came off that way, I have nothing against his VA except the way he plays Kefka =)
I suppose I’m too mindful of the fact he’s trying to emulate Mark Hamill’s Joker’s inflections, and since I’m not a fan of the Joker (and I don’t see Kefka as a clown) I hate Kefka being compared or assimilated to him.
Super excited about you playing FFXIV! I had a great time with it despite not really being an MMOer, so maybe you will too.
i’m very much hoping that will turn out to be the case! i can already see that it’s pretty different from other MMOs, it seems like there’s a real effort to draw the player in and make them feel like they’re a living, breathing part of Eorzea- an integral part of the game’s story. i really, really like that!

I like it a lot and I have very low tolerance for mean, but describing it as a bro-cartoon isn’t wrong. It took a while to hit its stride. I watched it with my SO and was initially like “why are we doing this?” but it got better.
