she was just trying to check on him, having noticed him seemingly unconscious and slumped over in an alleyway. she knelt down in front of him, and made the critical mistake of reaching out to check on him.

she thought about shrinking, but there was a legitimate fear of being squashed if she did. so she went for the alternative. legs kicked, pushing at his chest as she grew, until she was finally able to push him off of her. she collapsed in a coughing fit, slowly shrinking back to normal size. her throat felt raw, stinging as she desperately gasped for air.
