Stran & Govend (Songs & Dances) Celebrating Kurdish Music in Berlin
On 10 October 2025, Music For Identity gUG invites you to an open evening of Kurdish music and dance at Spore Initiative – a space for everyone to sing, dance, and celebrate together.
Program: 🎶 MezoAndes Ensemble – a new ensemble blending sounds from Mesopotamia and the Andes, connecting ancient traditions with contemporary expression
🎶 Kurdish Music Collective Berlin – a true community concert: everyone is invited to sing with us! We will provide the lyrics and materials so all voices can join together
🕺 Govendaki Dance Group – traditional Kurdish circle dances that embody community and togetherness
🎧 DJ Set & Open Dance Floor – join us in the circle for Kurdish govend
