Founded in 1191, St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin is Ireland's national cathedral (as opposed to nearby Christ Church Cathedral which is the local cathedral). Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, was dean of St Patrick's from 1713 to 1745.

I can’t tell you how my heart breaks for the family of this fallen heroic #FDNY firefighter! As a New Yorker and fellow Long Islander, I just wish he could’ve known he would have 10 blocks closed down in 5th Avenue and a funeral at #StPatricksCathedral! As a New Yorker there is no greater compliment or send off, but sadly he left too soon in such a brutal way, leaving behind a wife and 4 tiny children all while protecting the lives and property of others! May you Rest In Peace #LieutenantDavidson!! #hero
