the fear that my story conflict is too niche and I'm setting myself up for being misunderstood in a bad way... like my story is initially about a woman wanting revenge until it ISN'T, because she realizes she is trans and now she is living as a man. but my character still wants revenge. but that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that my character is a man now. being a trans man doesn't automatically make you a machine for violence and oppression. those behaviors are learned, especially when you're a part of a misogynistic, patriarchal society.
like I'm talking specifically about trans people here but I'm worried readers are going to find an antifeminist reading of my story??? I think I'm going crazy and overthinking this actually, I should just get back to writing
my character's name was Valerie but he was hit with the transgender beam and needs a new name. doesn't have to be magical I just need like a regular joe name
wyd when a witch casts a spell on you to help you kill your cheating husband who you hate but still love in some way and then you wake up the next morning in a man's body and instead of trying to kll your husband you end up falling in love with him all over again this time in a bi4bi way and you realize you don't hate him because he's bisexual you hate him cause he cheated on you and thought you were dumb enough to not notice. but now the spell is forcing you to carry out your original intent to kill him so now you're in a hell of a pickle where you just had crazy gay sex and you're in love again and now forces beyond your control are possessing your body as you murder the man you love. and you're probably still hard

I think the way my story's going is that neither of the main characters are good people but they do make sufficient improvements in character and maybe that's all that really matters
