To Those Who I Most Dearly Loved
To those who I most dearly loved
Tell me, what wrong did I do?
I only wished to make you laugh
And to bring about smiles, too.
Now the winds of fate have shifted
Away from our carefree, childish days.
You twisted tender hand into malevolent fist
Through unthinkable, horrid ways.
You beat me, bruised me, broke my bones
And chained me to the ground.
You scarred my soul and left me
To die where I would never be found.
Never once during my unending torment
Did you ever truly gaze into my eyes.
For if you did, you'd realize where my love for did lie.
You say, "No more discriminating,"
But that is all my pit-born relatives receive.
Only endless taunts and unfair abuse
From which they have no reprieve.
For the rest us, we fare no better
As our future hopes plummet low.
We foolishly dream to escape from
This hell, though we know it will never be so.
What did I do to deserve this?
I thought our bond would never end.
I never imagined my murderer
Would be the one I called my friend.
You ignore my pleads to make it end,
To expel this torturing fog.
But who am I to talk? After all, according to you,
I'm only just a dog.
(this is just a poem I wrote one night when I was supposed to be asleep.....I was thinking of maybe taking out the third stanza.....idk feel free to leave your opinion on it)
