#stolas bashing

In the newest episode, Full Moon Ep 8 S2. During the fight scene when Stolas walks out onto the hallway as Blitz follows him with disbelief. He says, and I quote:

“I have wanted you for so long. The fact that you couldn’t believe that I might have these feelings about you, that your first instinct is that it’s always…about sex.”

This is, of course, Stolas simply reinforcing that what they have going on is really just, bad. I get it, but like….

“That your first instinct is that it’s always about sex.”

What the fuck is that suppose to mean!?

Every. Fucking. Time these two dumb fucks had a conversation during the Pilot through truth seekers is Stolas wanting to Fuck Blitz! It’s so bad that they have to censor it out!!!

I mean why wouldn’t his first instinct always be about sex when you’re over here wanting him to repay you by sex when you saved his life!?

And, oh I’m sorry? Why the hell would blitz actually believe that you actually love him when you’re over here -unintentionally- ignoring his feelings, controlling him, and only talking about how you wanna fuck him till he’s numb!!!

You were the one who made the damn arrangement in the first place all because you finally found your lil knight and shining armor in your self absorbed fairytale!!

Just to clarify, I don’t hate Stolas or blitz, my last 2 posts about that should’ve made that clear- ehhhh-, but I hate the actions that they take. Yes, they both have trauma but that isn’t and will never be an excuse to act like an Asshole or act like a bitch.

Correct me on this but the line is just…so….hypocritical of Stolas to say when he has never made that clear. Ever.

There's a lot of shit to talk about this season, but there's something I feel like we need to talk about.

How Stella is treated by the narrative and fandom versus how Vox and Val are treated.

Why Vox and Valentino can gain a moment of empathy from the series and be treated cutely by the fandom (with people making cute headcanons of them and cute comics) but Stella can't?

What I'm trying to say is:

Why can Vox and Valentino be humanized and Stella cannot?

It's funny how this fandom loves to humanize Vox and Valentino by saying things like "even abusers are human too."

And well, they're not wrong about that.

But the irony is that when you try to do the same thing with Stella, you get attacked by them and you're not allowed to humanize her.

"Oh, you're trying to make her out to be a tragic abuser, but she's not, and she doesn't care about the arranged marriage."

Oh yes, but you can humanize rapists and human traffickers, right?

I'm not one to accuse others of things, but the reason of this is 100% sexism: the helluvaverse shows have an awful habit of finding ways to minimize and demonize women for every little thing they do. stella was cheated on by stolas and wants vengance for the damage he's done? no nuance allowed, she's just a crazy and all of a sudden stupid woman who is an abuser so you CANT like her, but lets make a bunch of merch of her anyways

meanwhile valentino and vox get infinitely more screen time than her, more praise and excuses, validation, affection and support. idek how to explain what is going on here because the jokes just write themselves.

Blitz may have made mistakes with Stolas, but nothing to the point that gives him the right to say such a terrible thing to Blitz.

One defense I keep on hearing people defend Stolas from is that people should be grateful because he could be worse. This comes up whenever people point out Stolas's neglect of Octavia and his condescending bigotry against Blitzo. They often times invoke he's sheltered and ignorant to defend what decisions he makes. When it comes to Octavia exclusively they say she has to be grateful he raised happily her all those years despite being married to Stella. However, this is bs because he kept himself married to a woman with was abusive and put Octavia in a hidden hostile home. As a result of his actions, this later would explode in his face and cause more strife in her life which ended that normal life he built for her. A similar exclusive thing to Blitzo is that he should be grateful someone like Stolas loves him while ignoring how Stolas used and exploited him for sex while being a racist pos to him. And then has the nerve to be mad when his grand gesture is questioned and is called out for his past behavior, then worse in the aftermath has the gumption to act he's a victim of Blitzo. Overall, the argument he is worse is just a way to cover up someone who is terrible and is a devil's advocate excuse to downplay how Stolas ignores the feelings of others when it comes to how he feels and wants.
