It had taken Kilgrave a while to see Oswald. Heâd been preoccupied. But now Jessica was in hospital, and heâd seen Daisy, he had time for Oswald. And, if he was being, he had missed him. Oswaldâs company was actually tolerable, and he even respected the other man, in a way. Not that he would ever say that out loud. Also, it helped that Oswald had the nicest club in the city, and served the best wine. Now that his important business had been taken care of, Kilgrave thought that it was about time he visited his friend. So, he took his current entertainment with him, and headed for the club.
It was packed, as usual, and after a few quick commands, he made it to the bar, where he assumed Oswald would be. But, when he got there, he saw that Oswald wasnât serving drinks this time. Still, no matter.
âBarkeep,â he called, snapping his fingers loudly to get the manâs attention. Get me a glass of creme de menthe. White.â The woman hadnât sat down, so he turned to her and nodded to the chair beside his. âCome on, sit down,â he said. She did. Then he turned his attention back to the barkeeper. âAnd get the owner to come out here. Tell him itâs important.â
