Accidental Baby Acquisition:

Not sure what I’d do for this one or how likely I’d be to write it, but I’m pretty sure it would be Shiro-centric and take place in canon-verse. Because Shiro already has a bunch of teenagers on his hands. The last thing he needs is SURPRISE BABY. Especially Surprise baby that is PROBABLY ANOTHER SPECIES. Allura tries to help. Matt and Coran supply a steady stream of baby-related trivia that no one needed or asked for. Slav is UNHAPPY in EVERY WAY. Eventually they just give up and pawn the baby off on Lance and Hunk until they find a proper family to deposit said baby with.

Only One Bed:

I’d probably just cram all five paladins (and possibly assorted other characters) onto one bed because GO BIG OR GO HOME. I wanna see more platonic bed-sharing in this fandom. There is a VERY high likelihood of me doing this (or something similar) at some point, because bed-sharing is my JAM.

Like, I dunno... maybe I could do it in my modern au. There’s an engineering convention and Shiro, Allura, Coran, Matt, Slav, Pidge and Hunk all have to cram into one hotel room because their budget is limited. Keith and Lance aren’t engineers in this au, but I may be able to come up with some excuse to include them in the shenanigans as well.

Fake Dating:

I’m not able to attend any of the protests tomorrow for various reasons, one of them being I’m not emotionally capable yet of participating that actively in the revolution, not in person. But in the spirit of the Tumblr user who urged me to keep supplying the army with socks instead of toting my rifle, I offer this.

For this weekend, my gay romance novel Nowhere Ranch is free. You can download a copy using the Instafreebie link above. This is a novel set in Nebraska about a man whose family rejected him but who finds a new family and sense of self on Nowhere Ranch. It’s also a fairly intensely erotic novel, and this was done intentionally: I wanted to tell the story of a man finding home, and I wanted it to be emotional and personal, but I also wanted it to be raw and gritty. I didn’t want someone reading it to be able to gloss over the gay and knit it into a subdivision. I wanted it to fit into a Grindr profile. I wanted it to both make people go soft and tender and make them feel peeled back at the same time. 

I can’t think of a book more fitting to make free in honor of an administration that just wiped the LGBT presence off of the White House website. So I’ve painted my Twitter header with a photo of the People’s House when it was splashed with rainbow colors in honor of my tribe’s newly acquired rights, and I’m giving my gayest, grittiest book away, the one where people like them tried to shove us into a gutter and we came out a family instead.

Fuck you, Cheeto. I’m going to fill this country with so much queer story you’re going to choke. So much queer sex. So much queer love. So much queer happy ever after.
