Joanne, how embarrassing.
Missy Peregrym as Hayley Graham in STICK IT (2006)
The rather wonderful Missy Peregrym in the rather wonderful film 'Stick It' (2006). Amazing gymnastic displays, and a properly heart-warming, uplifting story.
There are things you wish for before big moments. I wish my friends were here. God. I wish my parents were different. I wish there was someone who got what was happening, and could just look at me and tell me we weren't crazy. That we weren't being stupid. Someone to say, “I'm proud of you. And I got your back. No matter what.”

That famous ice bath scene from the movie Stick It, but make it Kara Zorel instead 😏

Stick It is such a good movie and tbh it’s like. Peak millennial optimism about the importance of community and of rebelling and challenging established systems.
And confronting how absolutely ridiculous subjective judging can be in sports and how it can stifle growth in sport and force athletes to conform to rigid standards rather than celebrate creativity and diversity.
Also fantastic cinematography, millennial punk rock music soundtrack and just great vibes all round!
