Steris with Excel has the power to become new Adonalsium (but she would be too uncomfortable to be it the spotlight)
Do Cosmere Characters Like AI?
As requested by @karlathewitch :)
Listen, I'm not a fan of AI. That will influence how I write this list.
1. Taravangian: Yes
Taravangian: AI is a wonderous tool. Taravangian: Incredibly easy to poison. Taravangian: I've made it so that if you google "Jasnah," the AI gives you a summary of all of her worst and most personal moments. Taravangian: You know, just to be an asshole.
2. Steris: No
Steris: I'm better at writing emails than it is.
3. Wayne: No
Wayne: Why chat with a character chatbot when you can talk to me?? Wayne: Homegrown roleplay is way better! MeLaan: Can confirm.
4. Ruin: Yes
Ruin: Talking to people through chatbots is actually super easy. Ruin: Even Preservation is on board with this. Preservation: It's like preserving people's personalities in a machine forever! Ruin: We're so good for this planet.
5. Jasnah: No
Jasnah: I do not refer to it as "AI" or "Artificial Intelligence." Jasnah: I refer to it as "LLM" or "Language Learning Model." Jasnah: Since that is all it is--a text prediction tool. Jasnah: And so horribly bad at predicting, at that.
6. Adolin: Yes
Adolin: Look, sometimes it's tough to know what to say. Adolin: And AI will write those mesasges for you! May: Do you think this may be part of why you have trouble keeping a girlfriend? Adolin: .... Adolin: Whoops.
7. Yumi: No
Yumi: Why would I like the thing that poisoned my whole planet with literal darkness full of nightmares?! Yumi: AND it wasn't even that good at stacking rocks!
8. Pattern: No
Pattern: Mmmm....you might think I would like it, because of all of the lies! Pattern: But...humans are much better at lies than machines are! Pattern: They actually intend them.
9. Sarene: Yes
Sarene: I told Iadon that AI could make him a good contract. Sarene: Tee, hee, I'm so silly sometimes.
10. Shallan: No
Shallan: I'm an artist. AI is always stealing my work! Shallan: In the very beginning, when it was bad, it was kind of interesting sometimes... Shallan: People with four fingers and all of that. Shallan: Now it's both thievery and kind of boring.
11. Kelsier: Yes
Kelsier: I created a Kelsier chatbot for Spook. Kelsier: ... Kelsier: It may or may not be driving him into madness.
12. Susebron: Used to
Susebron: Look, when you're not allowed to talk to anyone, sometimes chatbots are the only friends you have. Susebron: Then I got a wife. And some friends. Susebron: ... Susebron: Life is better now.
Cosmere Characters as People You Might See on the Bus
If you saw Cosmere characters on the bus, I think this is what the experience might be like.
Steris: The person who has her bus pass or exact change ready to go, and then spends the rest of the trip side-eyeing people who wait until they get to the driver before digging around in their bags.
Moash: Is polite to the bus driver and 100% ready to throw down with anyone who tries to be rude to them.
Vasher: The scruffy guy in the back of the bus who is potentially homeless and probably drunk.
Jasnah: Leaves her purse on the seat next to her so long as their are open seats anywhere else on the bus.
Tress: Slides as far sideways she can to leave as much room as possible for whoever might sit next next to her.
Adolin: Cheerfully man-spreads, it's true, but will also be the first to offer his seat to the elderly.
Kaladin: Guy who always stands even when there are open seats available. You've privately dubbed him "handsome standing bus guy."
Elhokar: Person who seems nervous to be on a public bus and is fuguratively clutching his pearls at anyone who seems unwell or (gasp!) poor.
Wayne: Has made 19 new best friends by chatting to whoever sits next to him.
Lopen: Has made 17 new best friends and 2 forever enemies by chatting to whoever sits next to him.
Dilaf: The person who won't stop talking loudly about religion. People are pretending not to see or hear him.
Vin: The person who brings her much-too-large dog onto the bus with her.
Shallan: A magnet for men who want to find a magic pixie dream girl, since she is wearing headphones and sketching. This dream lasts until they see what Shallan is drawing.
Nikaro: The person who stares morosely out the window for the whole ride. Works best when it's raining.
Elend: What is a bus trip other than time to read?
Navani: What is a bus trip other than time to work on research notes?
Lightsong: What is a bus trip other than time to nap? Yes, he misses his stop a lot.
Hoid: The bus driver.
I think Steris and Ham would've gotten along if they'd met. She would've listened to his questions and listed every possible angle you could approach it from. He'd have loved it!
They could've shared their eccentricities and coping mechanisms and made each other feel better in tough times.

Hello, I am Steris Ladrian née Harms. I am married to the wonderful Waxilium Ladrian and mother to Maxilium and Tindwyl Ladrian. My favourite pastimes are disaster planning via list, being flown through the mists and accounting. I adore playing catch with Max and peek a boo with Tindwyl.
OOC: I'm really excited to start this blog. This is my first time doing an rp blog so if there any issues please just message me, I'm happy to learn.
Would Cosmere Characters Keep A Diary?
As requested by anon. :)
1. Shallan: Yes
Every six months Shallan decides she will keep a diary so that she remembers the content of each day. Five weeks in, she stops. Six weeks after that, she's forgotten that she even had that as a goal. Later she finds the diary, realizes that she doesn't really want to remember all that stuff, and cheerfully stuffs it in her closet, never to see the light of day again. A month or so later, she thinks, "Hmmm...maybe I should start keeping a diary!"
This has repeated 19000 times.
2. Steris: Yes
Steris keeps a detailed log of her daily activities, as well as some contextual information about current political climate, cultural norms, and the weather.
She just KNOWS she is going to get a good grade in "useful to future historians."
3. Vin: No
Vin does not have the time to keep a diary!
Luckily, Elend DOES keep a diary and it is 98% about Vin, so future historians can breathe a sigh of relief.
4. Kelsier: Yes
It's, like, SO full of lies, though.
Future historians can start weeping now.
5. Wayne: Yes
Wayne really embraced the whole "Dear Diary" thing, treating the diary like a dear friend. After the MeLaan breakup, he spent a couple of weeks signing off as "Wayne, AKA the Greatest Lay that MeLaan Ever Had."
He just hoped that Diary Friend didn't notice all of the corresponding tearstains...
6. Dusk: No
He has his trapper's log, but that's not a diary. It's just dates and the information that will need to be passed on if his dead body is found. A diary is, like, free information that someone else will eventually make use of? Like, some kind of handout?
That isn't Patji's way.
6. Dalinar: Yes
He feels it is a good way to practice his writing. However, given that he just learned to write, he is very slow. He usually only gets a sentence or two into describing his day before he is out of time. He still moves on to the next day once the new day dawns, however.
After all, the next day is always the most important. Always, the next day.
7. Kaladin: No
The disadvantages of keeping a diary are too many. He can't read or write. If this are going well, why would he waste time trying to find someone to scribe for him? If they're going badly, why would he want to dwell on them?
But he has seen Syl eying fancy pens and stationary, though. So his non-diary days may be numbered.
8. Tress: Yes
She likes to record fun memories so that she can look back at them and smile. And it also helps to write down times when things seemed hopeless, because then you can see that you got through them and maybe feel less hopeless next time.
9. Captain Crow: Yes
She likes to record everyone's weakness and soon as she discovers them so that she can look back on it and plot. Plus, if she writes down when things seem good, she can see later that it all fell apart so she doesn't get her hopes up next time.
10. Hoid: No
Hoid keeps his memories the old-fashioned way--by storing them in Breaths like they're external hard-drives. When you're as old as Hoid and you move planets as much as Hoid, keeping physical diaries is a BIG hassle.
To put it lightly.
11. Lift: Yes
Yes, but Lift makes it a point to write ONLY about foods she has eaten, strange bugs she's seen, or cool robberies she has committed. Occasionally she will sketch a nice butt, but only on special occasionas. Her account of the Battle of Thaylen Field was "I stole a really cool BIG ruby today. BIG! With a bald guy!"
There was also a sketch of Dalinar's butt.
She may or may not have been doing this to make Wyndle's eye twitch.
12. Jasnah: Yes
Jasnah has her future-public-facing diary in which she writes about her life in the full knowledge that one day this diary will become the cornerstone of how historians view her. And knowing how historians are, she makes sure to be as clear and explicit as possible and to include absolutely zero contradictions or self-doubt.
This is her fifty-second draft. She's gotten really good at mimicking her childhood handwriting so everyone will think it's the original. The others? Burned.
She's pretty sure this is normal.
Does anybody have info about about Wax and Steris's home after Bands of Mourning/ Lost Metal?
I'm working on a fanfiction, but the Coppermind doesn't have much about it, at least not linked on Wax's page. Advice would be appreciated!
