Finished. for a given level of finished, which means I need to weave in ends and block this out.
Finally blocked this beauty! Love knitting Westknits shawls. The patterns are very clear and easy to follow and they‘re filled with fun techniques😁🧡.
Almost happy that I‘m sick. Even though its hot, I still get to wear my pretty new shawl.
This is their GoGoDynamo shawl, it was last years MKAL. The construction was really interesting, instead of starting at the center, the pattern had you start halfway. Made it a super fun journey and seeing the whole thing come together was incredibly satisfying.
Had a shitty week. Very shitty.
And what do we do when we have a shitty week?
We cast on a new project.
A few humble beginnings beside some wips much further along

My LYS was having a spring sale today, and I had a GC from the holidays I've been holding.
Got some Bamboo Pop Sock yarn to make Stephen West's Fragmentation Shawl. I think it'll be very fun and summery.
This was the first shawl I made, I used Drops Alaska yarns in three different shades of grey (as you can clearly see) and the pattern is the Birdwing shawl by Stephen West. It’s one of his older designs before his current style of chaoticness, I think it was around the time he began experimenting with more unusual elements and shapes in his patterns, it’s from a decade ago. I adore this shawl and honestly wouldn’t mind knitting a second one but with rainbow colours, make it into a pride flag project perhaps?
