This Friday (August 7th) is Bandcamp Friday
(which means it is the best day to buy music on bandcamp since almost all the money goes to the artists)
this is where I mention again that Tim Meredith (@stellarfirmatim) has made music and there are three Albums on bandcamp (and two on spotify) [all for pay-what-you-want]
In the Dark
Gripping Guilt Wants to Dance
Paler (only on bandcamp)
select choice of songs for anyone unfamiliar w them:
(all lyrics is on bandcamp)
In the Dark:
I encourage everyone to guess what this song is about:
(tumblr only allows 10 audio per post but honorable mentions to check out are Arcadia and Always Here)
Gripping Guilt Wants to Dance:
The Aftermath is brilliant and I have yet to meet anyone who disagrees
these two are the only instrumental ones which i know is not for everyone but they are some of my absolute faves and soooo good
Paler:
my second fave from that album:
Your Arms, Boys: award-winning, has been referred to as "criminally good" and I very much agree.
here my live reaction when I first listened to it:
so if you also want to feel like this -> listen to the song
very neat lo fi music by sam rae
Most people who see this post will probably know Sam Rae (Stellar Frima, Contrived&Insufferable, Goblins Ep1 and a regular every week on the Merebros Twitch channel) . Anyway, it hasn't been long since his lofi album has been up on bandcamp so be sure to check it out! I enjoy them a lot.
select example songs from the album:
For me they have been very useful for when you need to listen to something to not get distracted but it also shouldn't distract you itself. Well this is what many ppl use lofi for I assume but so far I had not come across lofi songs that also are such bangers.
If you see this after Bandcamp Friday August 7th (2026)
Here are the dates of the next bandcamp fridays for this year:
September 4th
October 2nd
November 6th
December 4th
