Stella having to deal with becoming an avatar of an entity beyond reality that consumes people's worst fears, an old man tormenting her and using her as a tool, all while having to deal with being a secondary school student in a school dedicated to pampering sporty white boys
Maureen describing her experience with the Vast: I listened to the call of the Falling Titan, and fell into the waves. I've never been held in an embrace so tender, yet so cold. The Vast saw me, and my vulnerability and declared that I could never be too much, and I would never be confined again
Stella's experience with the Eye:
Something to remember is that Stella is a deeply gentle person. She sees The Beholding as the worst of all the Fear Entities because she cannot stand to see people suffer. The reason she ended up becoming an avatar in the first place was because she was trying to save her classmates from the evil orchestra teacher who was an avatar of The Slaughter, even though she was bullied and largely ignored by them. She's probably the only person in the Archives who wasn't angry at Jon in season 4. Stella was at the height of her power during the apocalypse, but she could never bring herself to (or let herself) enjoy it, because she could never enjoy a world full of so much pain and fear.
Stella's story is so eerie, because it's very clear that the way that she was pushed into avatardom was absolutely tragic and shouldn't have happened to her that way, but as the story goes on, there are little moments where you realize that The Beholding didn't choose her for no reason.

I know I said I wanted to make Stella's orchestra teacher the Slaughter avatar that she faces off against but idk...the idea of a Slaughter aligned classmate seems a lot more appealing.

I've said it before but I think it's so funny that nearly every Maureen statement consists of her causing some fucked up shit, yet everyone in the story is like "yeah she was so beautiful, and so calm in the face of danger", whole time Maureen WAS the danger. Yet in the ONE statement involving Stella, not only is the statement given by a boy in her class who picks on her, and makes it a point to mention how weird she is, but he's convinced that it's low key her fault, despite the fact that she saved everybody's life...the juxtaposition is wild. Eye Avatars who want to do good always get the short end of the stick.
